Your new role
In this role, you will take the lead as the safety officer for the business, across commercial and multi-residential developments. This includes:
* Ensuring all safety documentation is up-to-date, including Safety Plans, Inductions, and Risk Registers
* Conducting toolbox talks, pre-starts, and inductions
* Undertaking safety inspections and audits to provide strategies for improved safety
* Building strong relationships with subcontractors and trades to foster a positive on-site environment
* Provide support and advice to the site management team
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have experience as a Safety Officer on commercial and/or multi-residential projects. You will also have:
* Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
* Substantial experience in the high rise and/or commercial construction sector
* A complete understanding of current legislation, regulations & building codes
* Strong communication skills
* The ability to set up systems, policies, plans and processes
* Solid systems' knowledge (Buildsafe, Hammertech etc)
