Overview
Industry: Mining Fixed Plant Maintenance & Refurbishment. Cays Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Mining Team in Mandurah. This is a full-time, office-based role supporting the delivery of mining fabrication and repair projects across Western Australia.
About the Role
As Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing mining projects from quotation through to completion. The role focuses heavily on coordinating offsite repairs and fabrication of the following:
* Deflector chutes
* Impact plates
* Head chutes
* Various rotable and transfer chutes
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and issuing quotations for: New build fabrication (CAPEX works)
* Coordinating workshop schedules and liaising with fabrication teams
* Managing client communications and providing project updates
* Reviewing drawings and scope of works
* Tracking project costs and timelines
* Organising procurement of materials where required
* Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience in mining, heavy fabrication, or engineering environments (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of chute systems and wear components (desirable)
* Proven experience quoting fabrication repairs and new builds
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with project or estimating software highly regarded)
