Job Summary
We are seeking a Specialist in Category Planning to join our National Supply Chain team based in Western Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to establish the Category Planning function, managing correspondence and information flow with internal and external parties regarding stock availability.
About Your New Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Understanding and ensuring transferable demand
* Recommending product assortments that fit within the category space
* Allocating and reviewing product space allocations
* Ensuring production plans, allocation quantities, and distribution approach are aligned
* Planning and leading supplier negotiations for key complex categories
* Implementing the end-to-end category management process
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* 5 years' experience in a Supply Chain stock planning environment, preferably within retail or FMCG
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence where required
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Analytical mindset for problem solving and root cause analysis
* Experience in end-to-end stock planning
* Intermediate MS Office Suite skill set
