About Wildflower
Discover Wildflower, a culinary gem found atop the COMO The Treasury in Perth. Featuring a contemporary à la carte and degustation menu, the creation of these dishes are influenced by the six seasons of the indigenous Noongar calendar. Wildflower Restaurant, a 3-hatted, award winning restaurant at the top of Perth's State Buildings, has a rare opening for an experienced, passionate and creative Sous Chef to join our Kitchen operations.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an aspiring Sous Chef to join our talented team at Wildflower. This is a fantastic next career move, for someone interested in progression and having creative input in an exciting and dynamic kitchen. The role is responsible for assisting the Head Chef with:
* Menu design and delivery,
* Recruitment, onboarding, training and supervision of Kitchen team
* Managing wage costs and COGs for the kitchen
* Ensuring Health, Safety and Hygiene standards are maintained
* Ensuring quality of food is delivered
* Rostering, ordering and monthly reporting
Candidates will have the following skills and experiences:
* A strong work ethic, a passion to create good food and a desire to succeed.
* Relevant qualification in commercial cookery (cert III or higher or equivalent).
* Exceptionally skilled, with at least three years' experience in a high-end restaurant.
* As this is a hands-on management role, the ability to train employees and supervise the Wildflower team.
* Be a highly organised kitchen manager that can works autonomously to lead the team.
* Excellent attention to detail and exceptional communication.
* Outstanding time management during preparation and service times.
