We are seeking a motivated and experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to help deliver on The Tradies\' objectives and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff during prep and service to ensure smooth operations
- Make adjustments to kitchen rosters where required to ensure coverage and smooth operations
- Train, mentor, and support chefs and apprentices
- Complete prep and cooking across all sections, maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Take responsibility for stock ordering, while assisting with stock rotation and cost control
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to achieve kitchen objectives
To be successful in this role
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Chef de Partie role
- Demonstrate strong supervisory skills with the ability to direct and support kitchen staff
- Show excellent communication and organisational skills under pressure
- Be passionate about food, with a commitment to delivering great dishes consistently
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
