We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional FAMILY ASSISTANT (NANNY / HOUSE MANAGER) for a full-time position, working with a lovely professional family of 4 (2 boys 10 & 16) for an ASAP start in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will be experienced, fun, caring and engaging, with an eye for detail and ideally come from a yachting background. Someone that takes pride in their work, loves children and enjoys keeping a beautiful property in tip top shape. Mum and Dad are very busy professionals and require someone that they can rely on to manage their homelife with a professional, warm and nurturing manner. You must be mature minded and organised as there may be proxy parenting required when the parents are travelling. One of the children is at boarding school and therefore during school term you will be mostly assisting the younger child, taking him to activities, getting ready for school / drop offs etc and liaising with teachers on occasions. Cooking and meal prep for the family will also be required, therefore you will need to be confident in the kitchen and experience with dietary requirements would be highly advantageous. You will be managing cleaners, gardeners etc and for the right candidate you will be involved in running the family estate in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. You will be a great team player and work well within a team and autonomously as there are additional household staff employed, and you may be required to manage them and coordinate schedules. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the household, ensuring smooth functioning and efficiency. Provide care and supervision for school aged boys including driving them to various activities and school etc (2 boys during holidays and 1 during school term) Prepare nutritious and balanced meals for the family, considering any dietary preferences. Assisting the cleaners with light household duties to maintain a tidy and well organised household. Booking appointments and managing schedules Support the boys' educational and developmental needs, assisting with homework and engaging them in fun and educational activities. Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the children's schedules, needs, and any concerns. Assist with running errands and other tasks as required by the family. Pet care when needed REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in yachting or hospitality. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both children and adults. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the family's busy schedule and changing needs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. First aid and CPR certification (preferred). Respect for privacy and confidentiality.
