Business Manager (The Plant Accelerator)

Salary
$114,151 - $128,065 per annum plus employer contribution of 17% superannuation.

Full-time, fixed-term position available until end of June.
Position
Business Manager responsible for the efficient operation of The Plant Accelerator, management of human and financial resources, monitoring performance, nurturing stakeholder relationships, driving continuous improvement of service delivery, ensuring contractual obligations under NCRIS, preparing budgets and financial reports, and contributing to high-level policy documents.
Responsibilities
Managing business operations, finances, and human resources within a service environment.
Providing effective leadership to improve performance, establish a harmonious working environment and maintain an outcome-based focus.
Managing multi-stakeholder projects, analysing data, solving problems and making decisions.
Preparing high-quality, timely reports and managing workload.
Communicating orally and in writing with diverse stakeholders.
Co-operating with the APPN Chief Operating Officer and Australian Government to meet contractual obligations.
Driving initiatives to continuously improve facility service delivery and outputs.
Qualifications
Substantial experience in business operations and financial and human resource management in a service environment.
Strong leadership experience to improve performance and maintain outcome-based focus.
Experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects, with analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Highly developed workload management and report preparation skills.
High level oral and written communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.
Previous experience in an agricultural or plant research environment and / or related industry is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to promote organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and commitment to comply with associated behaviour expectations.
