**The Opportunity**
On behalf of a Federal Government Agency based in Geelong, we are looking for APS5 Community Engagement & Communications Officer. This is a 12-month assignment. The role will be paying $55.24 per hour plus super.
Working in the Community Engagement & Communications branch, the role is responsible for setting the priorities and allocating work to other team members. The role will be required to work collaboratively within the team including sharing and developing specialised knowledge in areas of expertise.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Preparation of event and engagement meeting briefs for high level stakeholders and contributing to coordination of information.
- Coordination of internal engagement activity including development of run sheets and briefings for high level stakeholders.
- Produce content for a variety of channels including event materials and other communication platforms.
- Provide logístical management and advice to deliver proactive and nationally consistent engagement activities.
- Maintain local relationships with relevant key stakeholders to support effective engagement.
- Represent the Agency at external forums and events, providing information and guidance to people with disability and the wider community.
- Managing Ministerial Engagement and International Delegations inboxes, acting as a point of escalation for the triaging of enquiries and requests.
**To be considered you will demonstrate**:
- Previous experience in the similar role; event and engagement coordination
- Strong communication skill including writing and editing high quality documentation.
- Ability to gather and synthesise information and data and produce reports.
- Experience building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong administration and organisation skills including shared inbox management.
