About the Role
This role is responsible for delivering commercially successful projects by managing scope, program, cost, and commercial aspects while fostering professional relationships and maintaining a safe work environment. Key duties include:
* Forecasting and planning construction works according to the Program of Work
* Reviewing scope of work to ensure the team understands contractual obligations and timelines, driving the construction program to meet agreed schedules
* Determining construction methodology, processes, plant, and equipment needs, sequencing of trades, safety, and compliance
* Contributing to project quality development, including technical aspects, risks, and contingency plans
* Stakeholder engagement and liaison (internal and external)
* Regular project reporting on quality, NCRs, defects, etc.
* Identifying cost minimisation strategies and implementing measures to reduce labour, plant, equipment, materials, and transportation costs
* Seeking opportunities and driving continuous improvements
Required Skills and Experience
You must have experience in a similar position and demonstrate sound technical abilities, strong communication skills, and confidence presenting to stakeholders.
* Tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, or quality surveying
* Diploma in Project Management (preferred)
* Understanding of project controls and principles in a construction environment
* Strategic thinking and issue anticipation
* Solid skills in Microsoft Office, CAD, and SAP
* Innovation and ability to identify opportunities
* Current driver's licence and construction white card
* Able to work flexible hours and travel interstate when required
Must be an Australian Citizen and attain a Defence Security Clearance
