If you are passionate about Human Resources and have strong administrative skills, we want to hear from you

The Role

This pivotal role plays a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on Learning & Development, associate engagement, and in-person training delivery. The Human Resources Officer will work closely with leaders and associates to ensure HR processes run smoothly, compliance requirements are met, and associates are supported, developed, and engaged throughout their journey with the hotel.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a people-oriented HR professional who enjoys being highly visible, building relationships, and delivering engaging, face-to-face training that positively impacts associate growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Facilitating on-boarding activities, including coordinating and delivering in-person induction and orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of all required employment documentation.
* Supporting off-boarding processes, including exit interviews and the preparation and administration of termination documentation.
* Acting as the Learning & Development Champion, ensuring all compliance, departmental, and on-the-job training is completed, recorded, and maintained in relevant learning platforms.
* Implementing and maintaining a Learning & Development calendar to ensure training KPIs and compliance requirements are achieved.
* Coordinating and facilitating instructor-led training sessions, both internally and with external training providers.
* Supporting associate development through the Digital Learning Zone (DLZ) and Marriott Development Academy (MDA).
* Supporting the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, assisting with hiring managers, and facilitating communication with candidates.
* Coordinating reference checks, background checks, licences, visas, and employment contracts in line with company procedures.
* Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records, including personnel files, training records, recruitment documentation, and compliance records.
* Responding to HR-related enquiries from associates and management in a timely, professional, and approachable manner.
* Coordinating and supporting associate recognition, engagement, and Take Care initiatives across Opportunity, Community, and Purpose.
* Assisting management with performance management processes, training needs analysis, and development planning for associates.
* Ensuring compliance with all Marriott policies, procedures, and relevant local, state, and federal legislation.
* Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives, including incident follow-up and participation in WHS activities.
* Collaborating with leaders across the hotel to deliver engagement, wellbeing, training, and development initiatives throughout the year.

Successful Candidates will have:

* A genuine interest in Human Resources, with a preference for candidates with a background in Human Resources through tertiary education or current enrolment in HR studies.
* Prior experience in HR administration or a related field is a valuable asset.
* A friendly, approachable and professional interpersonal style.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple deadlines while striving to achieve specific targets and objectives.
