About the role The ITC Homes Coordinator will provide leadership, support, supervision and development of ITC House Managers and Senior Youth Workers ensuring services reflect MacKillop's values, policies, procedures and practice frameworks; and comply with the OOHC standards, relevant legislation and Department of Communities and Justice policies and PSP service requirements.
This Role is a Full Time Perm Position, 38hrs per week and will report to ITC Senior Coordinator, NSW Metro West and NSW Metro North Children Youth and Families.
The ITC Homes Coordinator will support ITC House Managers and Senior Youth Workers to: Manage the day-to-day operations of the ITC Homes; Ensure children and young people receive therapeutic care and support; Create, support and maintain a therapeutic environment within each ITC Home; Provide leadership, support and supervision to Therapeutic Youth Workers; Establish collaborative relationships with a wide range of services to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families; Manage the administrative systems that support ITC Homes including recruitment, rostering, supervision, learning and development, finance and maintenance.
Key selection criteria To be successful in this role, you will have: A tertiary qualification in social work, social science, community services, youth work, management or relevant field; Leadership experience in an equivalent role and demonstrated skills and experience in therapeutic residential care, house management, service coordination.
Experience in the Permanency Support Program and ITC will be highly regarded; Demonstrated experience in supervising, supporting and developing staff; Knowledge and understanding of child protection, OOHC, trauma, attachment and resilience theory; and child and adolescent development; Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families; Demonstrated ability to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and their families; Please address the full Key Selection Criteria outlined in the PD as part of your application.
