The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Agitator Truck Driver to join our team at Rontrans Pty Ltd in Gladstone, Queensland. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of materials to project sites across the region.
The successful candidate will initially be employed on a probationary basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position upon successful completion of the probation period. Training provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate Heavy Vehicles up to Heavy Rigid (agitator experience).
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe and roadworthy condition
3. Comply with all relevant road traffic laws and regulations, including driving hours and logbook requirements
4. Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques
5. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members
6. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents or issues encountered
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and efficiency within the transport operations
What We're Looking For
* Possession of a valid and appropriate Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (HR ).
* Australian citizenship is required for this position.
* Comprehensive knowledge of heavy vehicle operation, road safety, and load-securing practices.
* Excellent driving skills and a proven track record of safe and incident-free driving.
* A driving record with minor infringements is acceptable, but no major violations.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle unexpected situations.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
