Front Office Duty Manager – Madison Plaza Townsville

Located in the heart of Townsville, Madison Plaza Townsville offers a warm and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. We pride ourselves on exceptional service, attention to detail, and creating memorable stays for every guest.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We're seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to lead hotel operations during shift and deliver exceptional guest experiences. As the senior decision-maker on shift, you'll support Front Office and work closely with all departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities:

* Deliver outstanding guest service from arrival to departure
* Manage guest enquiries, complaints, and service recovery
* Oversee Front Office operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and room allocations
* Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure room readiness
* Support, coach, and lead the team on shift
* Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety, and brand standards
* Complete shift reporting and assist with rostering

This role requires flexibility across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

ABOUT YOU:

You're a confident hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.

You will have:

* Experience in a hotel Front Office or Guest Services role (Duty Manager experience preferred)
* Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards
* Proven ability to manage guest issues professionally
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Experience with PMS systems (Opera, RMS, RoomKey or similar)
* Availability to work a rotating roster

* Current RSA (or willingness to obtain)
