Job Description
Part‐time role – guaranteed 9 hours per week. Ideally 3 x 3‐hour shifts (negotiable). Opportunity to pick up additional hours to cover sick leave and annual leave. Must be locally based.
What's the role?
Looking for a part‐time role that fits around study, other work or life commitments? Just finished Year 12, studying at Uni or TAFE, or have retail experience and want flexible hours? We'd love to hear from you.
As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be the friendly face customers see when they walk into our Kingscote branch. You don't need banking experience — if you're good with people and enjoy helping others, we'll teach you the rest.
What will you be doing?
* Assisting customers with over‐the‐counter banking transactions (cash deposits, withdrawals and general enquiries)
* Creating a positive, friendly experience for everyone who visits the branch
* Helping customers learn how to use online banking and our award‐winning mobile app
* Referring customers to the right specialist when they need help with things like home loans or business banking
* Handling cash accurately and balancing at the end of the day
* Following simple processes to ensure compliance and security
We're Looking For
* Customer service experience (retail, hospitality or similar is ideal)
* Confidence talking to people and a friendly, approachable attitude
* Basic numeracy skills and comfort handling cash
* Willingness to learn new systems and technology
* Ability to stay calm and professional when things get busy
Why join us?
We're obsessed with becoming our customers' #1 banking partner for life and we're looking for people who are passionate about helping us achieve that goal. In return, we're committed to making Westpac the best place to work in the country.
* Special offers on banking products and discounts from top brands, including generous employee-only mortgage rates!
* A variety of leave options including Culture, Lifestyle and Wellbeing leave
* Tailored learning and development opportunities to help your grow your career within the bank
* Lots of opportunities to 'give back' to the Community by getting involved in our many volunteering initiatives
