Job Summary
This role involves designing and maintaining the frameworks that keep governance strong, ensuring accountability and transparency. You'll shape policies, monitor legislative changes, and ensure compliance frameworks run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in developing and reviewing governance documentation, policies, and local laws.
* Monitor legislative changes and support compliance reform initiatives.
* Maintain governance systems and statutory reporting platforms.
* Provide backup support for Audit, Risk & Insurance and Council Secretariat functions.
* Coordinate FOI requests and compliance training resources.
Requirements
* Knowledge of local government legislation and governance frameworks.
* Experience with compliance systems and strong administrative skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
* Qualifications in business or governance (or progress toward) and relevant experience.
