**The opportunity**

At Clyde & Co, the role of HR Business Partner is to provide strategic and operational support to a range of Practice Groups within the Firm. Our HRBP's offer pragmatic and tailored generalist HR leadership and employment relations advice, based on industry best practice standards. In this role you will be supporting our national Practices, working closely with the Practice Group Leader and all Partners across Australia. Working to establish strong and trusted relationships with approximately 20 Partners, you will provide a tailored approach to meet their respective needs.

You will ideally be based in Sydney and will report to the Human Resources Manager for Australia. You will also be expected to work seamlessly, collaboratively, and closely with national and regional peer-group HR team members and functional managers.

**Key areas of focus**
- Coach and support Partners in areas such as culture, engagement, leadership, performance, talent development and communication
- Provide technical and commercial advice to Partners and Managers in relation to employee relations issues, employment rights and obligations, performance, probations and terminations
- Manage the people operations of respective business units, working with the HR Coordinator to ensure all employee lifecycle changes are completed accurately and successfully
- Partner with the HR Manager, Australia and Head of HR, APAC in the running of annual processes such as remuneration reviews, talent mapping, promotional cycles and other ad hoc processes as required
- Take a lead role in the lifecycle of a range of exciting upcoming transformation projects such as an Engagement Project and HRIS rollout
- Help champion the implementation of initiatives relating to diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, induction practices, performance planning, learning and development, employee recognition and health safety and wellbeing.

**Essential skills and experience**
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Track record of excellence in preparation of letters (essential) and policy documents (preferred)
- Experience in employee relations systems, processes, and local labour legislation
- Solutions orientated and driven with an ability to identify and deliver pragmatic and commercial outcomes which meet the needs of the business
- The ability to work well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Well-developed EQ to be able to hold effective and productive relationships with senior leaders, specifically utilising skills in influence, coaching and leadership
- Meticulous attention to detail.
