The Role:
As Applications Engineer – EBOS, you’ll be the technical backbone of project deployment across utility-scale and mining solar and energy storage projects.
You’ll collaborate with the team to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and comply with Australian standards.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where your expertise will directly influence project success, product innovation, and regional growth.
Responsibilities Provide technical consultation to developers, EPCs, utilities and customers.
Design system layouts and bill of materials (BOMs) based on project specs.
Support sales teams with technical proposals and solution development.
Ensure compliance with Australian electrical codes and standards.
Recommend prefabricated, factory-assembled solutions to streamline deployment.
Maintain deep product knowledge and support recent product integration.
Relay customer feedback to product development teams.
Experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or related field.
5+ years of experience in solar or energy storage applications engineering (e.g., knowledge of solar module, inverter and tracker integration).
Familiarity with EBOS components and system design.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Experience working with EPCs, developers, and O&M; teams.
Experience with AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar design tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with the Australian energy market.
