Residential Support Worker – Youth Justice | Broome
Casual Opportunities Available (1-4 shifts per fortnight)
Be the difference in a young person's life. Join our dedicated team in Broome as a Residential Support Worker and help create a safe, stable, and supportive space for young people on remand.
About Us
For over 120 years, Hope Community Services has supported Western Australians affected by justice involvement, mental health challenges, alcohol and drug use, and youth disengagement. We meet people where they are - with empathy, respect, and belief in their potential.
About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you'll help create a safe and stable environment for young people navigating the justice system. You'll be there for the daily wins, encouraging healthy choices, keeping routines on track, and supporting young people to meet their bail conditions. When the residence is unoccupied, you'll step into a community-focused role, mentoring youth, building local connections, and strengthening Hope's presence in Broome.
What's on offer
$***** / hr + $5.57 regional allowance + penalty rates (SCHADS Level 3)
Casual roles available -1 to 4 shifts per fortnight on an ad-hoc basis

You'll need
Cert III (or relevant experience) in Youth Work, Community Services or similar
Experience working with at-risk or complex-needs youth aged *****
Must be willing to work within a 24 / 7 roster
An understanding of and adherence to working within personal and professional boundaries
Ability to prepare meals & maintain a clean and healthy environment
Understanding of Aboriginal culture and community
Must be confident working autonomously
A calm, respectful, and resilient approach
A current driver's licence and First Aid certificate
Important
