As Finance Manager, you will own the integrity of financial information, lead the month-end process, and drive best practice across accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting strategic initiatives.

AUD120,000 - AUD130,000 + super (negotiable depending on fit for the role)

Responsibilities
* Train, supervise and manage workload of finance staff
* Run the month end process and provide review and commentary of results
* Prepare annual financial statements for review by CFO
* Develop, audit and maintain procedures and policies for the function
* Review customer contract and invoices to ensure billing accuracy
* Create invoices for BNE & SYD stations
* Authorisation of supplier payments
* Oversight of bank reconciliations prepared by Accounts Officer
* Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Manage cash flow and control expenses.
* Preparation of monthly BAS Statement
* Oversight of FBT submission as prepared by external accountants
* Oversight of tax return submission as prepared by external accountants
* AR/AP managed without service disruption; FX impact understood and communicated.
* Oversight of payroll tax returns as prepared by Payroll Manager
* Co‐ordinate the year end Audit with Big 4 Auditors.
Your Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance or a related discipline.
* Professional accounting qualifications e.g. CPA Australia or similar are preferred.
* At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain financial insights clearly.
* Well organised, accurate, and able to meet reporting deadlines.
* Experience / interest in process improvement or reporting automation.
* Experience with IFS ERP or other finance systems.
* Experience in aviation would be an advantage but not mandatory,
