The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented professional to join our team in a unique and hands on role. As a Design Approval & Housing Compliance Coordinator you will manage and coordinate built form design approvals and the compliance process for residential homes, terraces, and multi-unit sites within the Ginninderry development.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of residential construction, including plans, technical documentation, specifications, and the Territory Plan. You will work closely with the delivery and sales teams to ensure smooth coordination of design approvals, housing compliance, inspections, and landscaping packages, while also managing bond returns and related matters.
About You
You are a highly motivated and detail oriented professional with a strong understanding of the design and construction processes related to built-form, ideally within housing. You have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently while meeting critical deadlines.
You communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and are confident in report writing and digital communication. You bring strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, a customer-focused mindset, and an ability to follow construction and handover processes. An understanding of contemporary urban and built-form design principles is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities -
* Review and respond to design submissions, queries, and approval requests promptly.
* Check applications for completeness and collaborate with design and estate teams to resolve issues.
* Prepare, file, and distribute approved designs and related correspondence.
* Administer compliance bonds and landscaping applications, schedule inspections, and follow up on outstanding matters.
* Conduct compliance inspections, address non-compliance issues, and liaise with customers, builders, and internal teams.
* Maintain compliance records, reports, and documentation accurately.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry
Desirable
* Recognised qualifications in Construction Management, Building Design, Environmental design or other relevant degree or diploma
* Experience with management and co-ordination design & building
* Experience in a customer facing role is desirable

Salary range between $90,000 and $110,000 (excl of super)
