What you will be doing
We are looking for Payroll Officer to be based in Gladstone. This person will be responsible for:
- Be the first point of contact for many employees who have general enquiries or disputes involving payment of entitlements
- Delivering outputs required by the payroll section on time and to specification
- Compiling and processing documentation including calculation and input of data around daily timesheets, leave, terminations
- Processing pays in relation to Income Tax, Superannuation, Medical Refunds, Health and Wellbeing claims and miscellaneous deductions and contributions
- Understanding and utilising payroll software systems (Workforce Dimensions and Aurion)
- Maintaining, reviewing and continuously improving the day-to-day administration payroll processes
What you will need
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Strong Payroll Experience & computer experience
- Ability to be versatile
- Working hours are normally 36 hrs 9 Day fortnight, Additional overtime maybe required from time to time
