About the Role
This position focuses on delivering high-quality, safe, and effective responses for women, children, and families seeking support and safety through The Orange Door.
The successful candidate will provide support for people experiencing family violence and families in need of support for the wellbeing of infants, children, and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing support for people experiencing family violence.
* Working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality responses.
* Assessing and managing risk using the MARAM Framework and TRAM tools.
* Considering the risks and needs of each family member, including children, in context.
* SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO HAVE CHOICE AND CONTROL WHERE POSSIBLE.
* PROMOTING CULTURAL SAFETY AND SELF-DETERMINATION FOR ABORIGINAL PEOPLE AND FAMILIES.
* APPLYING THE BEST INTERESTS CASE PRACTICE MODEL (BICPM) TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE.
* IDENTIFYING BARRIERS TO ENGAGEMENT AND TAILORING YOUR APPROACH TO REDUCE RISK AND VULNERABILITY.
