Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement proactive media strategies that highlight DETSI's priorities and achievements.
* Research, write, review, and edit media releases, responses, speeches, FAQs, and opinion pieces to ensure accuracy and alignment with departmental goals.
* Provide high-level advice to senior executives and stakeholders on media and reputational issues.
* Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the Minister's office to facilitate media activities and approvals.
* Monitor changes in industry and community attitudes that could impact DETSI's work.
* Participate in an out-of-hours on‐call roster to manage urgent media issues.
* Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

* Experience in developing and executing media and promotional strategies.
* Writing targeted, relevant, and concise content for diverse audiences.
* Analysing and resolving complex, sensitive, and urgent media issues.
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
