About the role
As the Senior Manager, Facilities, you will manage operations and maintenance services such as building and grounds maintenance, asset maintenance, security services, cleaning, parking, project management, security services and emergency response, as part of the core day-to-day activities of the Directorate. Frequent travel to other campuses and locations both during working hours and out of hours is required as part of this role.
* develop, oversee, and maintain asset maintenance plans to ensure service delivery aligns with relevant strategies and complies with essential safety measures (ESM) requirements;
* identify and manage approved annual maintenance and minor works programs, ensuring timely completion within budgets and service standards;
* manage transactions and requests related to P&I operations in PULSE, Workday, Concur and My Finance systems;
* lead the implementation of minor refurbishment works from conception to completion, considering internal and external requirements and liaising with key stakeholders; and
* provide overall responsibility of Property & Infrastructure (P&I) budgets, ensuring projects and maintenance programs are completed within expected timeframes and budgets.
About you
Reporting to the Associate Director, Projects and Asset Services, you will work with a considerable degree of autonomy to manage the service delivery of assets and infrastructures, ensuring a smooth operation of university activities. You will possess exceptional organisational skills and strategic thinking with the ability to resolve a diverse range of complex scenarios.
* specialist expertise and ability to manage large-scale assets and infrastructure maintenance programs within allocated budgets and timeframes;
* extensive experience in application of Australian Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards, codes of practice, relevant asset management frameworks as well as OHS and EHS legislation and compliance requirements as they relate to facilities maintenance;
* experience in the preparation of complex reports, submissions, recommendations, and tenders;
* project management experience at a senior level; and
* experience in the leadership and management of customer focused and collaborative facilities team.
