Job Title: Nurse Consultant - Clinical Research
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Consultant - Clinical Research. As a key member of our research leadership, you will be responsible for driving clinical trial access and research leadership across regional South Australia.
You will provide expert nursing leadership in a role dedicated to improving access to clinical trials for rural, regional, and remote communities through the Australian Teletrial Program – South Australia.
Working with a dedicated team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding rural health research capacity by contributing operational and clinical expertise to the planning, coordination, and delivery of clinical trials.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating patient consents and assessments, maintaining clinical research documentation, supporting regulatory submissions, and ensuring rigorous trial oversight and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Proven experience in working with computerised information systems, preferably within a clinical or medical environment.
Demonstrated competence in arranging patient visits, and undertaking clinical trial related procedures (ECG, vitals, venepuncture, cannulation, IV and Sub-cutaneous drug administration), and maintaining quality management processes according to ICH/GCP and workplace standards.
Demonstrated competency in completing measures of mental health, or willingness to undertake training to complete these.
