Overview
Theatre bookings is a dynamic department responsible for the planning and preparation of patients who are requiring Surgical and medical Admissions at John Fawkner Hospital. John Fawkner Private Hospital is seeking an administration professional to join our theatre bookings team in a permanent part time role as a booking clerk. This role will report to the perioperative services manager and will likely be 3 days a week - 7.6 hours shifts. In this fast paced and varied environment, you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role would be suitable for someone who enjoys working with others, is organised and wants structure and opportunities to grow in their career.

Theatre Bookings Clerk – Responsibilities
* Handling enquiries with a friendly and professional manner
* Managing clerical and administrative responsibilities such as theatre bookings and maintenance of theatre lists
* Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and inputting into webPAS (web-based patient administration system)
* Assist and support clinical staff with indirect patient care and administrative tasks
Essential Criteria
* Authority to Work in Australia
* Experience in a similar role in a Private hospital environment (Essential)
* Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and webPAS
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Working with Children check
* Commitment to service excellence
* Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* High level attention to detail
* Previous experience with health insurance (desirable)
