Manager - women's refuge

Our client is currently recruiting for a strong leader to lead a team across a reputable womens refuge and outreach programs for children and young people.

This specialist not-for-profit organisation delivers culturally responsive domestic and family violence services with a strong focus on supporting Aboriginal women and children. The organisation is committed to improving safety and outcomes for women, children and young people through trauma informed, client centred practice and strong community partnerships.
This position is Aboriginal identified and female identified. Applicants must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander woman. This is a genuine occupational requirement under Sections 25 and 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

This role will involve:

* Providing culturally grounded practice leadership, supervision and guidance to a team of experienced frontline case managers across refuge and outreach services.
* Strengthening trauma informed and culturally responsive practice across programs supporting women, children and young people.
* Supporting risk assessment, safety planning and complex case management for clients at risk.
* Leading practice governance, quality improvement and compliance with service standards.
* Identify prctice risks, trends or systemic issues and exclatae complex concerns to the CEO.
* Building collaborative partnerships with community services, government stakeholders and Aboriginal organisations.
This leadership role includes participation in a paid on-call roster, providing crisis response and guidance via phone or in person when required.The requirements for this role include:
* Aboriginality
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or a related field OR equivalent experience in leadership across the relevant field.
* Demonstrated leadership experience within domestic and family violence, child and family, or crisis services
* Strong knowledge of trauma informed practice, risk assessment and safety planning
* Current WWVP, National Police Check and valid Driver’s Licence

* $119,000 + super + salary packaging + paid on-call rates
