About the Role:
This role is ideal for a Financial Controller seeking to take the next step into senior operational leadership and drive business growth.
This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing and optimising the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of financial management, administration, and fixed operations. You will report directly to the Dealer Principal and work closely with the management team to ensure operational excellence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive strategic direction and performance across financial management, administration, and fixed operations.
2. Align service, parts, pre-delivery, and admin functions with business goals.
3. Drive the governance framework to sustain our operating rhythm and facilitate high performance.
4. Maximise profitability and efficiency across all business functions.
5. Oversee KPIs, budgets, and financial performance across the group.
6. Lead continuous improvement in systems, processes, and cost control.
7. Lead and develop a high-performing team with clear accountability.
8. Implement structured KPIs, regular reviews, and staff development initiatives.
9. Champion collaboration, safety, compliance, and quality assurance across operations.
Skills and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of the Australian automotive industry.
* Demonstrated experience in fixed operations and dealership operational departments management.
* Proven business development and financial management capabilities.
* Excellent people leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Strong knowledge of computer-based inventory and dealership management systems.
* Experience in setting and achieving profit objectives, CSI targets, and department budgets.
Performance Indicators:
* Achievement of monthly sales and profitability targets across service, parts, and admin.
* Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores that meet or exceed OEM expectations.
* Accurate and timely financial and compliance reporting.
* Staff performance, retention, and engagement levels.
