About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our fire business for a 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Fire Apprentice to join our growing service based electrical fire team, operating from our Tuggerah office and servicing sites across the Central Coast region.
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel between client sites. You will be responsible for the testing, inspection, maintenance, repair and installation of a wide range of fire detection, alarm and electrical fire systems across commercial and industrial environments.
You will work with our major clients across a diverse range of sites, including schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, commercial buildings and residential apartment complexes. The role requires the ability to work with increasing independence, meet scheduled service deadlines and maintain the highest standards of WHS, compliance and customer service.
This position suits a motivated apprentice who is committed to completing their trade, developing specialist fire industry skills and building a long-term career within a professional and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the inspection, testing, maintenance, repair and installation of fire detection, alarm and electrical fire systems.
* Work alongside experienced electricians and technicians to develop practical skills and knowledge in the fire industry.
* Complete accurate service documentation and maintain compliance records.
* Follow all WHS and site safety procedures at all times.
* Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and site personnel.
Key Requirements
* 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprentice or equivalent experience.
* Fire industry experience is desirable but not essential and full training will be provided.
* Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
* NSW Driver Licence.
* Ability and willingness to travel between sites across the Central Coast region and occasionally across NSW as required.
* Strong work ethic and reliability with a commitment to completing your trade qualification.
* Good basic electrical knowledge and a strong willingness to learn and develop skills in the fire industry.
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination where required by client sites.
* Ability to successfully complete a Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and pre-employment medical as a condition of employment.
