About this opportunity
Working within a team of 13, the Community Fundraising and Events Manager will:
* lead the community fundraising and events strategy
* drive engagement, awareness and revenue
* build and manage community fundraising programs, establishing strong relationships and identifying new funding opportunities
* oversee a calendar of events, working with a highly-capable events coordinator
* lead volunteer engagement and a new community ambassador program
* plan and create marketing materials to support and promote events and fundraising
* identify and cultivate relationships with community groups, individuals, and organisations
* accurately report on community fundraising, engagement and events; tracking budgets and impact metrics
* ensure a meaningful and inclusive supporter experience.
Making the most of the opportunity to shape a new, high-potential portfolio, you'll build an impactful community fundraising program and establish key relationships to support the organisation's ongoing growth goals.
This role has 2 direct reports — events and community engagement.
About you
You have a strong sense of initiative, and you're ready to make this role your own, exercising a high degree of accountability and self-motivation.
You're an excellent written and verbal communicator, and you're confident engaging with diverse individuals and perspectives to establish meaningful relationships.
You're both a leader and a doer. You're excited by the opportunity to lead by example and be part of the team.
You're a fantastic problem solver, always looking for ways to reshape, redirect and guide operations in a powerful new direction.
You bring a background in community fundraising or another area of relational fundraising, and you know what it takes to build robust fundraising programs.
You hold a current Queensland driver's license, and you're willing to travel on occasion.
