Positions Available: 1 x Permanent and 1 x Temporary
The role of the Intensive Case Management Caseworker involves providing quality professional casework services to young people subject to youth justice intervention.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Delivering best practice statutory casework services to young people with minimal supervision, utilizing high-level assessment and intervention skills, including intensive weekly engagement with families, community organizations, and other stakeholders, in accordance with legislative, policy, and procedural requirements.
2. Preparing and presenting information and evidence to the Children's Court, conducting pre- and post-court interviews, liaising with court stakeholders, and preparing reports, affidavits, and documentation as required.
3. Engaging with and establishing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers to develop therapeutic alliances and achieve quality casework outcomes.
4. Coordinating therapeutic plans with clear, action-oriented goals to support young people and their families, including assistance with employment, education, substance misuse, health services, housing, parenting, and community participation.
5. Managing case records, preparing reports, and ensuring data entry and record maintenance comply with policies and procedures.
6. Liaising with Youth Justice Service Centre staff regarding complex cases, program development, statutory delegations, and related matters.
7. Participating in training and professional development to maintain evidence-based, best practice service delivery.
8. Engaging in supervision and contributing to peer supervision, applying self-reflective practices.
9. Providing leadership and mentorship to less experienced staff, including supervision of Youth Workers involved in the program.
10. Demonstrating cultural capability and commitment to developing cultural awareness to support inclusive practices and community partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
