At New Aim, we're redefining ecommerce with technology, data, and innovation. Since 2005, we've grown into Australia's largest and fastest-growing private ecommerce company — delivering to 70% of Australian households and partnering with some of the nation's most-loved brands, including Amazon, eBay, Bunnings, Myer and Woolworths, etc.
Through our proprietary technology, we optimise procurement, supply chain management, multichannel integration, and pricing strategies. Our business-to-many (B2M) model and retail marketplace, Dropshipzone, empower businesses to scale online with speed and precision.
About the Role
As our Senior Compliance Officer, you'll focus on seamlessly balancing New Aim's commercial growth with strict adherence to Australian regulatory standards. You'll be able to utilise your deep knowledge of frameworks like RCM, WELS, and the ACL to safeguard our vast SKU portfolio, transforming complex legal requirements into practical, actionable design guides that empower our procurement and R&D teams.
What You'll Do
* System Architecture: Design and optimise a robust market-access compliance framework to manage a vast SKU portfolio across multiple brands, ensuring meticulous ledger management and operational integrity.
* R&D Empowerment: Translate complex AS/NZS standards into actionable Product Compliance Design Guides, embedding regulatory requirements into the early stages of product development and procurement.
* Regulatory Advocacy: Serve as the primary liaison with Australian authorities including the ACCC and Australian Border Force, managing core certifications such as RCM, AGA, and WaterMark/WELS while providing technical expertise during audits.
* Crisis Leadership: Monitor legislative shifts—such as button battery safety and plastic bans—to lead rapid-response product adjustments, withdrawals, or official Product Recall processes when necessary.
* Strategic Collaboration: Partner with procurement and business units to provide constructive compliance alternatives, balancing aggressive commercial growth with a steadfast commitment to Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
What You'll Bring
* Specialised Expertise: A minimum of 5 years in a senior compliance role within a large-scale e-commerce or Australian retail environment, with deep knowledge of RCM, EMC, AGA, and WELS certification workflows.

* Professional Communication: Exceptional English proficiency with the ability to interpret dense legal statutes and negotiate effectively with official government bodies and third-party laboratories.
* Resilient Mindset: A high-integrity professional who thrives under pressure, possessing the risk‐acumen required to navigate major compliance crises and influence cross‐functional stakeholders.
What You'll Experience
* Work-Life Harmony: A progressive hybrid work model designed to support your professional goals and personal well-being.
* Impact-Driven Culture: The opportunity to influence a tech-driven local success story that is redefining the Australian e-commerce landscape.
* Corporate Benefits: Competitive remuneration packages, professional growth pathways, and exclusive staff discounts across our extensive product range.
