Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist
As a critical member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals return to work after injury or illness. Your expertise as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist will enable you to identify and address the physical, psychological, social, environmental, and organizational factors that may impact a worker's ability to successfully return to work.
You will be responsible for providing holistic support to help restore an individual's highest level of functional performance through relevant assessments such as Initial Needs Assessment, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, and Vocational Assessments. Additionally, you will deliver Vocational Counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training, and upskilling.
Your excellent time management skills and ability to multitask will enable you to effectively manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of case management activities. Your exceptional verbal and written communication skills will also enable you to build strong relationships with clients, employers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working within the Occupational Rehabilitation field and possess the necessary qualifications and experience to excel in this role. A tertiary allied health qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology is required, along with Provisional registration with AHPRA or Associate membership with ASORC or RCCAA. You must also have Australian working rights and be willing to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Key Responsibilities
* Apply clinical decision-making to manage an individual's recovery from injury or illness in the safest and most timely manner possible
* Complete return-to-work case management for injured workers under the WorkCover scheme
* Provide holistic support to help restore an individual's highest level of functional performance through relevant assessments
* Deliver Vocational Counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training, and upskilling
Requirements
* Completed a tertiary allied health qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology
* Provisional registration with AHPRA or Associate membership with ASORC or RCCAA
* Genuine interest in working within Occupational Rehabilitation field
* Australian working rights
* Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
