We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced locomotive operator to join our team.
* Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting, and yard operations will be your primary responsibility.
* Ensuring trains are properly examined and certified for departure is also an essential task.
* Effective train management techniques must be applied for efficient and safe train operations.
* You will work in accordance with our safety and operational standards and procedures at all times.
* Contributing to continuous performance improvement is expected from you.
About You:
* A Certificate IV in Rail Operations is a minimum requirement.
* Experience working with QLD Safe working Systems is essential.
* Route competencies in the Goonyella system would be advantageous.
* A strong commitment to safety is paramount.
* Ability to work a 24/7 shift work roster, including weekends, is necessary.
