We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Cylinder Technician to join our team in Burnie, Tasmania.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting and repairing hydraulic cylinders, small pumps, hydraulic motors, valves and small drive components. This will involve working on a 5 x 2 roster in our component rebuild shop, reporting to the Service Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
">

* Disassemble, inspect and re-assemble hydraulic cylinders with new parts using cylinder bench and other tooling
">
* Report stock levels of consumables to assist in planning future works
">
* Maintain machinery and equipment and record within systems
">
* Attend and contribute to morning meetings daily
">
* Complete all necessary paperwork and reports relating to works completed
">
* Ensure all tooling is in good condition and fit to task being performed
">

About You:
">
The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, ability to handle numerous tasks and drive and determination to learn. They will also possess skills, experience and attributes including:

* Experience in a heavy earthmoving or automotive workshop environment
">
* High attention to detail
">
* Good verbal and written communication skills
">
* Hydraulic cylinder repair and small component rebuild experience (preferred but not essential)
">
* Current forklift license (preferred but not essential)
">
