Regional Alliance West is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing disadvantage across the Midwest, Murchison and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia. For over 40 years, we have delivered compassionate, community-driven services in some of the most remote and under-resourced parts of the state.
With a committed team of over 30 staff and volunteers, we operate 11 unique programs ranging from community legal outreach and counselling to advocacy and tailored support services. Our mission is simple: to provide accessible, practical support to empower individuals and strengthen communities.
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist to be first point of contact for our organisation. This is more than just a front desk role — you'll play a key part in creating a warm, welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors, many of whom may be accessing support services during challenging times.
As part of our dedicated team, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support, helping to ensure our services run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a respectful manner.
* Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general enquiries.
* Assist clients with appointments and service navigation, including providing information about available programs.
* Schedule appointments, manage room bookings, and update calendars.
* Support the team with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, scanning, and photocopying.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience in a reception, front desk, or administrative role (experience in a community or not-for-profit setting is highly regarded).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy in administrative work.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and confidence learning new systems.
* Understanding the importance of confidentiality, privacy, and professionalism.
* A friendly, respectful, and non-judgemental approach to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
