About this role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Spray Painter to join our team to undertake quality workmanship to ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition. This is a full-time position.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Mixing and matching vehicle paint colours after preparation, according to Job Sheet requirements.
2. Building and maintaining a colour library.
3. Preparing, priming, and painting vehicles using the paint supplier's process.
4. Buffing and denibbing vehicles.
5. Handling all vehicles with due care and attention.
6. Notating any extra paint work required that is not quoted for.
7. Reporting any old damage or poor previous repairs to the production manager.
8. Cleaning work bays and workshop areas.
9. Coaching apprentices when required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A trade qualification in Spray Painting.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience working as a trade-qualified Spray Painter.
3. A strong commitment to working safely.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. A high level of attention to detail.
6. The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team.
7. The ability to meet strict deadlines.
8. Reliability, punctuality, and a hardworking attitude.
