Interpack is a well‐established and growing manufacturer supplying high‐quality packaging solutions to major Australian customers across the food and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our Adelaide manufacturing facility.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of plant equipment while driving a strong preventative and predictive maintenance culture across the site.
The Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team and take responsibility for ensuring all machinery, equipment and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. The role requires a hands‐on leader who can work closely with the team, troubleshoot complex equipment issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and develop the maintenance team to achieve high performance and strong safety standards
* Implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
* Provide hands‐on technical support during breakdowns and critical maintenance situations
* Manage spare parts inventory and supplier relationships to ensure critical components are available
* Develop and manage the maintenance budget while identifying cost‐saving opportunities
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
* Work closely with production and operations teams to minimise disruption to manufacturing schedules
* Monitor equipment performance through condition monitoring and maintenance KPIs
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance function
About You
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Supervisor in manufacturing, packaging, food processing, plastics, or a similar industry
* Strong mechanical and/or electrical background with hands‐on troubleshooting capability
* Experience implementing preventative and predictive maintenance systems
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
* Experience managing maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory
* Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to respond to equipment failures quickly
* Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
