About the role
Paradise Timbers is seeking a diligent and experienced Timber Storeman to join our growing team. This full-time role is based in our Gold Coast QLD warehouse and plays a vital part in the efficient operation of our timber distribution business.
What you'll be doing
* Receiving, checking and storing incoming timber deliveries to ensure accurate inventory levels
* Picking and preparing timber orders for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner
* Operating forklifts to move timber stock and other docking equipment
* Maintaining the warehouse in a clean, safe and organised condition
* Assisting with the regular stocktake and cycle counting processes
* Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Storeman or Warehouse Operator in a timber, building materials or similar industry
* Proficient in the use of forklifts and other docking equipment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving accuracy in all tasks
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* A current LF forklift licence and steel-capped boots
