TJM Engineering is expanding and we're looking for a highly skilled tradesperson to join our experienced team.

What You'll Do
* Operate and maintain CNC machines to the highest safety and quality standards
* Work with fine tolerances and ensure precision in every component
* Apply a deep understanding of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
* Set up fixtures, tooling, and jigs with accuracy and attention to detail
* Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and slip gauges
* Write and verify CNC/CAD programs, including setup sheets for new jobs
* Continuously monitor part quality and drive process improvements
* Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to streamline processes
* Mentor apprentices and junior team members, sharing your experience and standards
* Maintain detailed production records and a clean, organized work area
What We're Looking For
* Australian Trade Qualification as a First Class Machinist (essential)
* Minimum 3 years' experience operating high-speed, multi-axis CNC machines
* Proven ability to work to tight tolerances and production deadlines
* Strong understanding of OH&S and quality systems
* Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Current C-Class Driver's Licence
* Availability to work shift work on a 2:1 roster
