About the Role
The JBS Shipping & Docs team is currently recruiting an Accounts Payable (AP) Assistant to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the AP Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the processing of a high volume of accounts payable ocean freight, domestic freight, storage and exportation invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Head Office Freight team by maintaining rate records and freight databases for Ocean, Domestic and Air shipments
* Accurately entering invoices into SAP and in-house systems
* Verifying and reconciling invoices against contractual rates to ensure accuracy
* Reviewing and reconciling statements with accounting records to ensure timely supplier invoice payments
* Preparing non-trade invoices in compliance with JBS policies and procedures
* Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve invoice queries and discrepancies
* Escalating invoice or account issues to the Head Office Freight Team Leader as required
* Assisting with compiling documentation for internal recharges
* Performing other ad hoc duties as required

* Previous experience in an AP/data processing environment
* Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus
