About The Role: We're looking for a motivated Demi Chef to join our welcoming kitchen team at a busy education site in Parkville. In this hands‐on role, you'll help prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students in a fast‐paced school catering environment. You'll work closely with experienced chefs, gaining valuable skills and building your career in a supportive team setting. Enjoy a genuine work‐life benefit with a summer stand‐down period (December‐January), giving you extended time off over the holidays to recharge and spend time with family and friends.
Roster
* Monday: 9:30am - 5:30pm
* Tuesday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
* Wednesday: 11:30am - 7:30pm
* Thursday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
* Friday: 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and assist in the service of fresh, high‐quality meals, including bulk cooking
* Support Senior Chefs in daily kitchen operations
* Undertake general kitchen duties, including dishwashing and cleaning
* Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety standards
* Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative kitchen team
* Deliver consistent, high‐quality food service within a busy catering environment
Desired Skills and Experience
* Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food preparation role
* Experience in school or large‐scale catering (highly regarded)
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standardsExcellent time management and attention to detail
* Positive attitude with a genuine passion for food and service
* Ability to work independently and within a team
