About the Role
ChoiceOne is currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Building Services Assistant for an ongoing regional role across Narrogin, Merredin and Northam, WA. This position supports the maintenance and upkeep of essential facilities within a healthcare environment. The role offers strong pay, structured rosters, accommodation and a work vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across buildings and facilities
* Complete general repairs and minor works via job requisitions
* Perform basic concreting, welding and minor carpentry tasks
* Replace lighting globes and tubes under electrician supervision
* Monitor and assist with steam generation equipment and medical gas supplies
* Conduct water testing and dosing as required
* Maintain plant rooms and workshops in a clean and safe condition
* Assist engineering and maintenance staff as required
* Participate in safety, quality and team initiatives
What We're Looking For
* Experience in general building maintenance or a similar role
* Knowledge of basic welding, concreting and carpentry
* Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders
* Experience using power tools and workshop equipment
* Strong understanding of WHS requirements
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Current C or C-A Class Driver's Licence
* Full working rights to work in Australia (PR or Australian Citizen)
Highly Regarded
* Forklift licence
* White Card
* Working at Heights or EWP certification
