About the Role
This is a dedicated tax advisory position, not a compliance or portfolio management role. Working as part of a nationally connected advisory network, you will provide comprehensive, tailored tax advice to a diverse range of private clients, high-net-worth families and complex private groups.
You will be responsible for advising on intricate tax matters including:
- Private group structures and restructuring
- Capital gains tax planning and advice
- Estate and succession planning
- ATO reviews and dispute resolution
- M&A transactions and corporate tax matters
- Cross-border and international tax issues
The role offers exposure to a wide range of industries and client structures, providing the opportunity to apply and develop your technical expertise in a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment.
Who This Would Suit
This role is best suited to a commercially minded and client-focused adviser with strong tax technical knowledge and a genuine interest in private client advisory. You will thrive in a role that combines technical interpretation with practical, commercially sound advice.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a dedicated tax advisory position
- Experience drafting detailed, high-quality tax advice
- Previous involvement in ATO reviews, rulings applications, or objections
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting or law
- Completion or progression towards CTA or Masters of Taxation favourable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and client engagement experience
