About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Manufacturing to drive the end‐to‐end delivery of our Hallam factory set up and transition to full operational readiness. The delivery‐focused role has broad accountability across facility management and compliance, factory layout and infrastructure, process engineering, and the industrialisation and launch of products relocated from other sites. The role will ensure all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Microsoft Dynamics 365 manufacturing and financial control frameworks.
This position will report to the Chief Manufacturing Officer based at our Hallam manufacturing site and operates across live manufacturing environments and external contractors, playing a key role in shaping the future of our operations in Hallam.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the integrated master plan for the Hallam facility, including scope, timeline, budget, risks, and dependencies.
* Lead cross‐functional governance across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HSE, IT, and external suppliers.
* Prepare and present regular progress updates to senior leadership and steering committees.
* Ensure delivery milestones are achieved for facility readiness, equipment installation, and start of production.
* Lead building fit‐out and site readiness activities, ensuring compliance with Victorian WHS legislation and relevant regulations.
* Develop and approve detailed factory layouts, optimising material flow, safety zoning, ergonomics, and capacity expansion.
* Plan and execute safe relocation of machinery, tooling, and test equipment from other sites.
* Lead manufacturing launch readiness for products being transferred into Hallam.
* Ensure alignment with Microsoft Dynamics 365 manufacturing, inventory, and asset control principles.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 10 years' experience in industrial, manufacturing, or capital project management.
* Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline will be advantageous.
* Proven track record delivering factory set‐ups, relocations, or major manufacturing transformations; exposure to multi‐site or international manufacturing consolidation programs will be beneficial.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, facility services, and production systems.
* Working familiarity with Microsoft ERP environments, ideally Dynamics 365, from an operational/manufacturing perspective.
* Demonstrated experience leading contractors and cross‐functional teams in live manufacturing environments.
* Strong background in inventory management and procurement.
* Lean manufacturing experience and knowledge is advantageous.
* Knowledge of process improvement, business, finance, and basic HR practices.
