About This Opportunity
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Advisor will coordinate the development and implementation of WIL placement activities and support the work of integrating employability in the curriculum to benefit students. The main focus of this role will be in leading all activities for work-integrated learning placements and lead in the identification of potential partners for WIL industry group projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
o Lead all aspects of Business, Economic and Law Faculty WIL placement program
o Lead all aspects of the development of standard and ad hoc documentation and placement agreements
o Research, develop and maintain a portfolio of strategic industry relationships with existing and new industry partners for WIL industry group
projects and to support the work of the Principal Employability Advisors in engaging with academics to embed employability in the curriculum
o Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure that placement planning and administration is effectively managed and ensure all data is entered
into the UQ enterprise system
o Liaise with internal UQ stakeholders to ensure placement and employability related activities are well communicated, supported and are in line
with other relevant UQ objectives and programs and/or projects
o Lead the management of queries and student communications as required for matters associated with placements and employability, including
enquiries that come through the CRM
o Deliver one on one student consultations
o Assist with the development and implementation new programs of work to support embedding employability in the curriculum
o Provide timely, accurate and relevant placement information and reports to stakeholders including faculty management, academic staff and
senior administrative staff

About You
o Degree qualified in business or a related field with subsequent relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience
and/or education/training.
o Demonstrated high level of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to liaise and build effective relationships with a
variety of stakeholders both internal and external
o Excellent and effective organisational skills and high attention to detail with an ability to manage timelines, priorities and handle a high volume
of work.
o Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement and made decisions
o Highly developed skills in the use of computer packages including word processing, data storage and retrieval, e-mail, and CRM’s.
o Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment to successfully coordinate information and implement projects ensuring individual,
organisational and unit goals are met.
o A demonstrated strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check etc.
