SIM is offering a blank canvas HR and Safety Manager role.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll act as the connective tissue of the organisation — refining HR systems, strengthening safety frameworks, and driving initiatives that create real, measurable impact

You'll need to be able to hold robust conversations when things get tough and see the bigger picture.

Responsibilities
* Team Leadership and Development:
* Leadership of employee relations, industrial relations and safety matters.
* Drive company culture and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
* Human Resources:
* Championing employee engagement, culture and wellbeing.
* Designing HR measurements of success to track progress.
* The implementation of HR 'best practice' systems, policies and procedures.
* Oversee the full spectrum of the HR management processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
* Work Health and Safety:
* Set the standard of a positive health and safety culture by adhering to the highest safety standards, attending all scheduled safety meetings, visiting active sites, and enforcing HSE principles at all levels.
* Lead, engage and participate in HSE risk assessments.
* Provide safety, compliance, policy, or procedure training programs in line with group requirements and maintain knowledge of all company safety programs.
The Requirements:Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications (min Cert IV): Human Resources, Safety and Leadership
Experience:
* Demonstrated experience managing People and Safety functions and teams with positive results in delivering targets.
* Knowledge of Australian HR & Safety legislative frameworks.
* Ability to provide advice to managers and staff about best practice HR, Safety & Culture matters.
* Experience in a manufacturing or blue-collar setting would be ideal.
Skills:
* Strong knowledge of Health and Safety/Human Resources, regulations, and reporting standards.
