Provides support to teachers to deliver defined educational programs, activities and interventions for students.

St James Catholic College is located in the picturesque township of Cygnet and caters for the needs of approximately 300 students. We are a Kindergarten to Year 10 co-educational College, proud of our long-standing and well-respected relationship with the community.

Small class sizes enable staff to teach with a strong focus on the individual needs of each and every student. We pride ourselves on encouraging students to reach their full potential.

We are currently seeking applications from innovative and enthusiastic Teacher Assistants who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education for the following position:

Workshop Teacher Assistant
Ongoing (Term Time Only) 0.07 FTE

Commencing 24 February 2026

About The Role
Our Workshop Teacher Assistants are responsible for the effective delivery of quality educational support for students to enable enhanced learning outcomes. These roles provide support to teachers in the delivery of defined educational programs and activities and interventions for students.

You will work collaboratively with other staff contributing to a school culture grounded in Catholic values and the mission of Catholic Education Tasmania.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

* Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
