About the role
SAFE-T-ROOF P/L is seeking an experienced Construction worker to join our team in Canberra, ACT 2600. This is a full-time role responsible for providing edge protection for construction sites, ensuring the safety of our workers and the public. As a Construction worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and contributing to the successful completion of our projects.
What you'll be doing
* Assembling, installing and maintaining edge protection systems on construction sites
* Monitoring and inspecting edge protection equipment to identify and address any potential safety issues
* Providing support and assistance to other construction workers as needed
* Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures
* Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of our safety practices
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Construction worker or in a similar role within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of edge protection systems and their safe installation and maintenance
* Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and address safety concerns
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues
* Commitment to upholding health and safety standards and procedures
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
