Job Description
This casual role sits within our National Training and Education Division, a growing and highly regarded part of Healthcare Australia. The division delivers training programs for HCA healthcare, aged care and disability support workers, as well as accredited and non-accredited training for employers and individuals. This includes accredited courses such as First Aid and medications, alongside mandatory competencies like manual handling, basic life support, induction programs and technical competency assessments.
You'll be joining an experienced and passionate team who are committed to delivering high-quality training that meets the needs of both students and industry clients.
Based in Albury/Wodonga, the role involves delivering a variety of practical and theory-based training and assessments to healthcare workers. Training includes but is not limited to areas such as manual handling, basic life support, medications for care workers, PEG feeding, infection prevention and control, PPE (donning and doffing), dementia awareness, personal care, palliative care, catheter care, diabetes and blood pressure, wound care, and other healthcare-related programs as required.
Trainers are supported with clear session plans and comprehensive resources prior to delivery. Assessment responsibilities may include practical observation as well as marking theoretical assessments.

Let's talk About you
You're a motivated trainer who's passionate about adult learning and student success. You'll need:
* a current TAE40116 or 40122 highly desirable, not essential
* Current AHPRA registration.
* Must be an experienced RN (nurses with current acute, aged care or disability support/NDIS experience will be highly regarded)
* Desirable experience in teaching courses such as Manual Handling, Basic Life Support and medication administration for care workers.
* National Police Clearance
* Covid 19 vaccination certificate
* Effective communication and problem-solving skills
* Must reside and hold full working rights in Australia
* Are comfortable utilising technology when delivering courses virtually or face-to-face
